I have had mine for a number of months now and can confidently say that this is something all magicians should carry around. In a very short space of time it has become a “classic”. Bold statement, indeed, but ask anyone who has got one and they pretty much all same the same thing.
Magic spin a deck of cards
Check out the review our good friend Nathan wrote for us after receiving his one.
Revolution by Gregory Wilson:
As a semi-pro / hobbyist magician that only gigs a few times a month and hardly ever for money, it’s important for me to get the most value for my money. I usually only purchase gimmicks, routines and products I really feel I will always use in either my close-up or short parlor show.
For my close-up routine I always start off with Invisible Deck. I feel it’s the strongest thing to open with (or close with), but I always felt it very awkward opening with a mentalism card routine. Not any more, I now approach people with a spinning deck of cards on my finger and ask them to shout out their favorite card. Their faces immediately light up when they see the deck twirling on my finger. :)
This is truly one of the best magic investments I have ever made and can’t imagine performing without it.
What you get in the box:
You get a clever gimmick, some gaff cards and a link to an online video. In this video Gregory goes into super detail on how to use the gimmick and also some routines with it. I’m sure most magicians will instantly find a way to include it into their routine.
As with all products from Greg, the gimmick is very well made and will really last for the rest of your life. You will really feel that you got your money’s worth. The way it can be hidden is also brilliant. I’ve even had spectators handle the box with the gimmick in the box and they didn’t suspect a thing. Greg goes into detail on either permanently affixing it to a box for your performance, or on how to ditch it. I do a deck switch between my first and third trick, so I just ditch the whole deck : )
This is really easy to pick up. If you are experienced with cards and flourishing, it should take you a day or two to get a good spin. Be warned though, if you practice correctly, it will hurt for a few days, but then you’ll be fine as long as you keep performing the spin.
I do not perform any of the tricks Greg teaches on the video, so I won’t use the gaff cards, but there are a few nice ideas included. The gaffs are designed to go with a red Rider Back Bicycle deck.
This is a wonderful product, just what you’d expect from Gregory. This will become a classic in magic and flourishing. I give it a 5/5. Just be careful on how you use it. Don’t overdo it, a quick 10sec spin at the beginning of your performance is all you need.
